Thought it might be fun to play a little game since this topoic was so empty.
Who knows what movie this sword is from? (I bet most know where they stole the hilt design from)

Looks like I may have picked too obscure of a movie but as promised here are the full screenshots in case seeing the actors will help.

No, its actually considerably newer than that and a good deal less serious.

I have no idea what that movie is, it is definatly nothing I have ever seen. But I am going to take a wild guess and say it is Seven Swords

What about that curse of the golden flower? Is it from that? I have never seen it, but it looked good.

No again but that is an excellent movie that is far superior to this one I on many levels. Curse of the Golden Flower has a much more in depth story with better acting and much more stunning visual. It is, again, much more serious than this movie which is really just a bit of amusement.
Clue (maybe a giveaway)- The actor using the sword is Jaycee Chan (Jackie's son)

Ninja found the right answer : The Huadu Chronicles: Blade of the Rose

I didn't realize I would be the only one to have seen it and I thought its such a distinct sword (what with ripping off the Sting handle for LOTR and all). Its a fun movie with a fair bit of flashy sword play. The sword posted is actually the magic sword the hero has to find to defeat the evil emperess.

My Turn.
The movie itself is fairly recent. Also, this is without a doubt one of my favorite movie swords ever designed. Almost as cool as the guy that uses it.

It was a movie that I thought wasn't going to be very great, but I wound up being pleasantly surprised. It is now one of my favorite movies of all time. I'll say what it is after a few other people get a chance to guess.

No more guesses?
Oh well. It was from The movie Azumi. It was Bijomaru's sword. I really honestly wasn't expecting the movie to be as good as it was.

I want to say Shogun Assassin but the tsuba looks a little different than his Dotanuki sword, but it could just be the angle
