So far I'm not impressed. Seems more like GTA meets Africa. Add a little "Blood Diamond" (great film BTW) and you have FarCry 2. I'm not that far in, about 15%, but its not living up to the hype.

I think it is decent, but looking forward to Resistance 2 tomorrow and Gears on Friday.

BTW, I have changed my gamertag on MSN to SWORDS OF MIGHT in case anyone wants to send me some requests.

I've got Far Cry 2 on the computer and have been taking snack-size tidbits of it and while I enjoy playing it I feel they could've done a better job. The open world is a step in the wrong direction I think. With the original farcry it was a more linear approach with a semi-open world that allowed you to take various routes to the same destination. I find that in FC2 I'm never able to sneak up on the enemy, never able to dodge some guard posts and am always doing more running than fighting.

I also hate how it takes forever to kill the enemy, have to really load them up with lead for them to finally fall over. The fire propogation is extremely fun and cool and that's one thing that won't get old for me.

I wouldn't say I dislike the game, I still enjoy playing it (but hate how long it takes to get a good amount of diamonds/currency) and would recommend it to anyone who's looking for a nice looking game with somewhat of a challenge. I was very impressed by the graphics and it made me want to go back and play Crysis - although even my beast of a rig can't handle crysis that well :(

Yeah, they are kinda idiots, they don't even know when anything is due in. Anyways, awesome game so far!

I agree....much better than the first one in every way although the coop mode sucks in my opinion...
