This movie takes place during the Meiji era and follows the last days of the Shinsengumi... a group who fought for the shogunate and the city of Kyoto during the Bakumatsu. It starts with a man and what appears to be his son walking into a clinic... the man sees a picture that brings up his past. This man is Hajime Saito captain of the third squad unit of the Shinsengumi. I dont want to give anymore away so i'll stop here. A truly moving movie that depicts the ethics of samurai.

A little correction I think you mean When the Last Sword is Drawn, this is one of my favorite movies, the acting is very good, it won a bunch of awards, great sets, and pretty correct historically

In that case you may want to avoid Taboo, it is all about Homosexuality in the Shinsengumi. The movie Shinsengumi with Toshiro Mifune is very good as well

Well i got into them by catching the old Zatoichi stuff and Kurasawa films on the ifc chanel years ago. You can download most of the with bittorrent. Heres some links.
http://www.bittorrent.com/
Dlownload that its free and you can get anything... movies, games, pics, music, applications. The way it works is that once you download the program you can go to sites that hold the files on other servers and just search or browse for what you want. heres some links.

This is really the best way to see these films short of buying them from sites. There is the legality issue here though if that concerns you. Heres a link to a site that you can buy from.

To be honest i dont use those too often. Sometimes the piratebay but almost never from mininova... not too sure why though. Torrentbox is good though and for anime buffs like myself boxtorrents is the be all to end all.

Piratebay r0x0rs. I get lots of movies from them, mostly outdated ones you can't find at local or online retailers. I intend to try mininova soon. :evilbat:
