Ok, I suppose we all own a kimono of some sort, even if it's a Kendo Gi.
But do any of us actually make gear to go with our swords?
Like the blue kimono I wear in my forum pic I made myself along with a few others.
I also weave Waraji from macrama jutte, made myself some Jitte, Manriki, Sai, manji-sai-yari and so on.
This canteen I made for fun from some lumber I had around the place. The top two spears I made as well as the Inro and Waraji (my first set from an old rope) and a whole mess of slings.
I figure, that when I watch a period movie, I like to know what they really had (unlike the tons of ninja gear that somehow manages to be carried in a form-fiting gi<g>.
Plus it's fun.
How about you?
