For those who haven't seen this from old forum it's a shin- shinto katana, 26.95" long, with a menji era tusba. i sent it to Fred Lohman to dress the katana five months ago. he did a very nice job. Sent him my sue seki wac yesterday to dress it the same way. now gotta get up some nerve to cut with it , maybe in the spring !

Very nice looking.
Did Lohman's do anything to the blade itself, or were they just the mounters?

If I offended you take it up with me ....... bashing me in posts is childish
Mako
December 25th, 2007, 07:50 PM
You haven't offended me at all pal and I'm not "bashing" you...looks like you're the one who's getting uptight and offensive or maybe it's defensive...so who's being childish? :-?
Take a chill pill...accept the fact that nobody is obliged to respond to your questions or PM's and learn to take constructive criticism on advice you give in posts on a Public Forum which is dubious at times...to say the least.;)

Rick your kinda ruining the vibe of the whole forum. You profess to want to learn.Let me tell you the third thing I learned when I first walked in a Dojo,Sit..Quietly,respectfully,listen and watch Intently.Good advice IMO.FYI,It's rude to ask someone the cost of something like this, trust me we can't afford it.

Ok, moving on. We will accept no such behavior here and unfortunately I have had to ban someone for the first time on any forum I have put up. I wished this day would not come but when enough complaints have been given, the member causing the trouble has to go. I am sincerely sorry Rick, I wish you the best and you may email me if you feel you were wronged by my actions of banning you. I want everyone here to feel free to say anything, but most of the time you were just saying nothing.

I'm not trying to but in or anything but... i decided to put my 2 cents worth in however old an argument if you don't mind :>
You guys have to admit the argument that started was simply i think a misunderstanding in terms and it kinda over spiraled into a banning.
Also Jason if i may suggest what you look into is figuring out how to ban someone for like a week or something, unless you already have this ability in such a case i shut up :)

Okay Cosmic Ownage, I will bite. I know Jason trys to moderate this forum in a manner that benifits everyone. We all have opinions that we feel stongly about, an that is our privilage. We must(and this applies to everyone) be respectful of everyones opnion. Respect is the fundimental element of every martial art and civilized society. Respect of elders is foremost in almost every culture. Those that are elder have usually "been there, done that" including the mistakes we have made or are about to make. Constructive critism is the mark of true concern, correction is the act of caring. Glad to have you back.

Dude...you have no idea of why this guy was banned unless you're 'rick' under a different username and IP or a friend of his...it had nothing to do with the posts on the forum itself but the abuse of the PM facility to annoy other members and disrespect the Mod's.
If you have a problem with this or anything else on the forum,I suggest that you contact Jason direct or as you've stated "shut up" or 'ship out' if you've nothing constructive to post.

Jason did the right thing, Rick changed the whole spirit of the forum for the negative with his comments and rude behavior. How many hundreds of posts in a couple of weeks and almost all confrontational.

In this I am 100% behind Mako!!
It takes a lot of temerity to come to a new Forum as a new member, and proceed to tell the moderators and administrator how to run their Forum and question their judgement.
Unless of course you are "rick" or just as IGNORANT as he was.
Both of us have seen many things on this Forum, just because we don't call them all out, don't mean we don't know what is happening. I don't know if you guys realise this or not, but we do talk amongst ourselves and we are all good friends.
Not that I have to explain anything but "rick" actually quit this Forum, Jason's banning of him was his way of saying "ADIOS" we don't want you back!
All of this occured thru PM's which means it's really NOBODY else's business!!
I will say this, with each consecutive ignorant poster [rick, stoneface] my tolerance level goes down [will not accept ignorance on the previous scale].
Normally I will only embarrass you in a PM, if you want me to do it on the Forum [in front of everyone], I can do that! Some people are just masochists.

WOW, I guess the lesson here is don't p*ss off the Mods! Or it's doom on you. Really , I think a lot of guy,s here have a nuff drama in real life and don,t need it in the cyber world. This is where we come to be with like minded people and share common interests, and have a little fun. So let the good times roll and sleeping dogs lie.

bobO..if everyone conducted themselves in the same manner as yourself and the rest of the members here, there'd be no need for Mod's but there's always some twonk that'll step up...unfortunately. :-<
