This is a visually stunning look at the historic tale of the Ako Ronin. After Lord Asano is forced to commit Seppuku, for drawing his sword on Lord Kira, the Ako Samurai find themselves Ronin. The warriors from Ako are never told what exactly happened, but Bushido says that both parties must be punished, and only Lord Asano is disciplined for this incident. This infuriates the Ako Ronin, but only a select few are told of the plan for revenge, which is ultimately the assassination of Lord Kira. Kira knows he is in constant danger, and builds a new compound, with traps and mazes. This is one of the best movies about this story, it is visually stunning, great acting, and it won many awards. I would recommend anyone that is interested in the 47 Ronin, along with this one Swords of Vengeance is a great movie about the same incident.

the beauty of this movie is on a deeper level it says much about the samurai mindset. To be loyal to your lord even after his death, and to tackle the misson even though there's little chance of success.Mission over man sorta thing.Theres more I just hate typing, lucky for you guys.:horseplop:
