Taboo

What if the Shinsengumi was a hotbed for homosexuality :-O? Well, that is exactly the story in the movie Taboo. A young Samurai joins the Shinsengumi and due to his sexual preference, causes turmoil in the ranks of the Shinsengumi. Plenty of plot twists, great scenery, and a few decent fight scenes, was what kept me interested in this movie. I must warn anyone that is thinking of watching this that there is a sex scene between two men, it isn't graphic, but you get the idea of whats happening. If you can put aside the fact that this movie is about gay Samurai, it has a very good cast (such as Beat Takeshi) and a great script (which won this movie several awards), I think you will like Taboo, it certainly suprised me.

Wow, talk about mixed emotions, yeah, this was disturbing. Did any of you see "TOMBSTONE"? The leader of the Cowboy Gang, Curley Bill was known to...uhhh...play the flute. In the Bird Cage, he saw the Shakesperian Actor and said, "The prettiest man I ever saw", too bad CB could not meet the star of this flick...now I feel like Crockodile Dundee did when he satrted checking for packages. Sheeeeesh!
