Of all the fantasy swords ever created or written about, I believe Michael Moorcock's character Elric of Melnibone' had the most famous, Stormbringer.
Yet no one has ever made one yet that I know of.

I remember being so enamored with the Eternal Champion series, that I actually sent off to England for the books, because they were not yet availible in the States. I also remember the first real rock opera, Stormbringer, as performed by Hawkwind, with live actors and Michael Moorcock himself narrating. Ahhhh, the good old days.

Yeah, I'm not too sure how the Euros would convert into USD, but I bet the number is still in the same ballpark. Not to mention the 3 year waiting period...

Why not ask Brenno and SwordBuyer'sGuide to make you the sword, I'm sure it would only cost you a small amount compared to that price:-O.

Wow, I didn't realise he had the capability to forge a sword in the fires of Chaos, and possess it with the spirit of a cosmic evil entity.=))
Just joking around, actually I have never seen an artists interpertation or replica that looks the way my imagination perceives it to be, from reading the books. Nothing can duplicate the reading of a book!! :ohyeah:

He might not be able to duplicate the books sword but then you could ad stuff to it like neat designs, (PS I don't think his forge is pure evil:evilbat: but his prices are definitly not evil)

bobO; I have a set of Legolas' fighting knives up on my wall, but they're strictly display swords. stainless steel blades. I have never seen an image of the Stormbringer you guys have been talking about, but I have heard of Michael Moorcock. Coincidentally, I have a sword named Stormbringer. It's the Ritter Steel Trojan War Sword with 25 1/4 inch leaf shaped blade. a great weapon, although heavy at almost 4 pounds. it is weight forward though, so it's easy to swing.

Ther's been a rumour floating about here lately, about a joint U.S./Brittish govt. coverup. :jawdrop:
Seems as though pirates have been sighted off the coast of Wales! :ninjapirate:
They have been stopping all freighters, stealing all weapons and alcohol shipments, then letting them resume shipping.
As this seems to be limited to a small group of indiviuals, both governments are keeping it a secret, believing if it becomes known, others will soon follow suit.
I got this rumour from Marv! :rumor:

When I used to ship overseas, a Ryumon would cost anywhere from 200-400 dollars to ship. And people would still pay for it!

Jason, say it ain't so! USPS is the only way I can avoid the 60% UPS brokerage fees! A sword selling for $99.99 gets brokered by UPS for $62 and change. Add that to the $32 shipping fee, and a $100 sword is $194+ into my hands via UPS. :-O
USPS somehow avoids the exorbitant brokerage fee, and I've always had great service here in Canada. Swords, guitar necks, you name it, USPS has given me first rate service at a far more reasonable price.
Please boss, won't you reconsider? For Canada at least, if not overseas? My wallet will thank you for it.

As a lifelong fan of the Elric saga, i'd happily trade any of my less necessary internal organs for a Raven Armoury Stormbringer.
For about the same money again, they do Stormbringer's sister Mourneblade.
When i was 10 i actually made my own Stormbringer from a plank off an old pallet. It was awesome as i recall...

I just checked out the Raven Armoury site, I must admit I too like the look of Mournblade better, although I really like the new Rodney Matthews version (limited edition, currently in works) the best!
Thanks for resuerecting this thread, because now I have also noticed all the youtube clips and also Michael Moorcock's website/forum!!!
