Not exactly 'custom' but a little different to a standard Paul Chen Tiger.

Most of you guys will have seen this on the old forum.:>

Here is a few pictures I have on another forum, The work on this Katana was done by Aaron Justice. In the after pictures I will post the picture that he took for me.The pictures after the one he took are my sorry pictures ( I need to get another camera or learn to use one) Anyway here it is.The Menuki is a Japanese hat coupled with a boat oar,
symbols of Musashi Miyamoto.
Aaron is working on another sword for me , I will post it once it is done.I am very impressed with his work and have other Katanas that he will work on ,if he will ,at a later date.

Yes he did an outstanding job,he replaced the fake Same with a real one and then blackened it, put on the Menuki , red silk ito and then he did the rattan job.I was very impressed and well pleased.

Here is some pictures of my Custom Musashi katana from Thaitsuki Nihonto.

I thought that the Tsuka was to tiny to grip. I stripped it and glued some wood on top and bottom before I remounted it. The fuchi/kashira is Kyo-Ajiro from Nishijin Sword.
The Tsuba is Kasuga from Jidai.
I kept the menuki original Menuki.
The original ito was leather and a bit loose I thought. Instead I gave it black silk-ito. I dont use hishi-gami.
Usually the skin on my fingers is ripped of when I do a very tight Tsukamaki, but I started to put on some bandagetape to spare my skin.

The original finish on the saya was matsilk finish. I sanded it smoothly and painted it with black Cashewlaquer from Namikawa Heibei.
After a week I sanded the saya with 800/1000/1500 grit. Finally I polished the saya with liquid polish.

My costum Bushi class 1095 Limited Edition Twilight Wave Katana from Dynasty Forge

I made a new Tsuka to this sword. Added black same.
Botan Fuchi/kashira.
Brass flover Menuki.
Tsunami ito.
Iron wing Tsuba.

Strange..no habaki. Not too sure about the unusual grind and bo-hi as well but if he likes it...thats what matters! Welcome to the forum KK
