I think thats one of the main reasons alot of us keep coming back. I ordered my 8th or 9th order from them (actually some were from when it was Dragon's Edge) Sunday night and got the tracking info telling me it'll be here tomorrow (Weds.).

Too bad I'm in the field this week and will probably be home too late then have to wait for redeliverly Thurs. ~X(

Thanks again guys...I just treat you guys like I would want to be treated if I was a customer. I don't think any retailer should give any less.:)

You could really help me out if you post a review on our site trust section. Just click the link below and input your feedback. It lets my customers (non forum) know what other customers think. I would be forever greatful! >:D<

Out of 50 reviews, I have only had one bad one. (Just recently) The customer ordered something that was out of stock (beyond my control) and then sent me an email asking when it might be in stock. I replied that the manufacturer did not give us a date and added that if they wanted a change or refund I would do so. They asked for a refund (which I promptly applied) and then BAM! a bad review. Unbelievable. =((

I've had that kind of thing happen twice.First time the wife ordered a sword for my surprise b-Day party,no sword and it did not show as out of stock on the web page.So when asked when, they said 3 months, when where they going to tell us,I'll never do business with them again.Second time I ordered a sword I knew to be out of stock, waited 2 weeks,no sword, sent an e-mail all was explained waited 2 more weeks got my sword no problem. So if Jason doesn't have what I need I'll go there.

Yea, but why give the company a bad name if they are out of stock on something? I alerted the customer that they were out of stock and what could be done about it. Then gave them a refund and they were still mad...???

Thats just bad attitude. I remember once when it was still Dragonsedge I ordered a sword that this was the last place to list as in stock. The next day I got the e-mail apologizing that that the site hadn't updated but it was out of stock. I was real bummed (it was a straight version of a curved one I have and I wanted to collect both) but I called Jason as the e-mail requested. He apologized again and I ended up, at his suggestion (watch them marketing skills), picking out a few other decorative items that hit about the same price. That was my second order from Jason and now that I just hit my 10th (I think thats all, maybe more) this is still my favorite sword store. Thanks again Jason.

BTW I just got the Anathros sword I won in closeouts. Another 3 day arrival. I had gone to get the baby from daycare and missed the UPS truck again by about 5 min (guessing since I was only gone about 15) but I went and found it and now I have my sword. :sword:

I agree Jason,in the first case the company took my business for granted ,in the second case the guy let me know what was going on ,so no problem. In a business like this ie buying something sight unseen, trust and communication are key. Also some people are idiots.

Jason,
You are dealing with the "public", people are rude and nasty, it would be even worse if you had to deal with them face to face, where they could really perform. I think you do an excellent job, but some customers are just born a-holes. As long as you maintain your excellent service, you will come out ahead, because your good customers appreciate the service and will tell others.

I actually liked when I dealt with the people face to face better. It seems easier to calm down an angry customer than it is over the phone. Also, they couldn't just hang up on you. That is about the rudest thing you can do. I have people call and ask why they didn't receive their swords. I said they are on backorder. I sent them 2 emails stating the fact, and they said Cancel my order you just ruined my son's birthday you jackass. Then hung up. That bothered me for a whole day. Now I laugh about it.

That should be laughed at its just bad planning on their part. If I want something in a hurry (I usually do, thats why I have never ordered custom anywhere) I find someplace with a contact number and call first to see if its in stock. That way If not I still have time to shop more.

I do it because guys like you and the rest of you forum nuts. I am so glad I put up a forum. I always had one, but it only consisted of a select few (most of you are still here or visit) but even with a few guys (Mako, Dotanuki, Ben, Goose, Brian, and a few others) we always had fun and learned off each other. Now that we have some new members, (BobO, Jwilliams, Certified, Richard Johnson, Etc) it is really getting good. To me, this is the best money I spent on anything for my business so far. I hope you all enjoy being here as much as I do. My business and this forum would not be alive if not for you.
So thank you.

(If I left anyone's name out above, it was not intentional, I was just going off the top of my head)>:D<

Well, once again Jason has out done himself.I got my order in a timely manner, every thing was there,in perfect condition, etc, etc. Now,my blowout box was a little different, cause I kinda asked for some specific stuff. So just let me say it wasn't worth twice what I paid,IT WAS WORTH THREE TIMES WHAT I PAID.This guy is killing me.Also with the knives,it's like buying one knife at discount and then having the guy GIVE you a top of the line knife for nothing, man,it's crazy.Thank you, SOM

I wish I could offer closeouts forever because it gives you guys a really good deal on items you would normally not buy, but do so because the price is awesome. I am glad you are happy with the Hibbens I sent to you Bobo!

Well, once again same old story.Place my order before I can turn around the damn things at my door, properly packed ,every thing there(:|this is getting boring.Who I'm I kidding,SOM ROCKS!Jason love the shoto and for five bucks,my friend is gonna love this. The habaki is really nice, move over Goose! The seppa are a little small(just a little bit) but that works out fine as one is a spacer for my Masihiro and the other will be a template for my silver seppa. And the "chucks" are also very nice.Another seamless transaction by SOM, HUZZAH :dwarf:P.s.the seppa are stamped but nice.P.s.sThemore I look at the habaki the more I like IT.If you guys ever thought of buying some this is the place and price, might have to get more.

December 19th, 2007, 06:16 PM
Give me a call and find out. I am here 11am-6pm Monday thru friday EST. (I am here more than that, but those are the phone hours) Phone and internet orders all work the same.

Jason, my Masahiro is back on line. The seppa where just the thing.I cleaned the burr of the back(left from the stamp) popped it on.It was exactly the right thickness and size!So know this sword can come down from the wall. With the DF kat out of commission this is very cool. Thanks!! Can any one tell me which side the extra spacer is supposed is to be on? I have it on the blade side.

between the tsuba and tsuka

bobO
December 21st, 2007, 07:57 AM
Great, could you site a source for this info.I sure you wouldn't just quess, would you?

Firehand10k
December 21st, 2007, 09:30 AM
I don't know any source but I can suggest a reason rick would be right. The tsuba is (obviously) larger than the seppa and the tsuka is about the same size around and shape. These will help to keep additional seppa installed between them flat. The habaki is smaller allowing the thin seppa to flex up around it. Stacking them on this side would help to speed the bending of the ones closest to the habaki.

Jason Moore
December 21st, 2007, 11:00 AM
I was told it didn't matter which side you apply an extra seppa to only that if you put multiple seppa on each side make sure that you even the sides out.. (Ie 2 on one side 2 on the other) If you needed to have four.

rick

I looked at my gen2 and the tsuba/tsuka side is a little thicker than the habaki/tsuba side

I would like to say, yet again, how great Jason and his team is. I only ordered some PC sword oil and Metal Glo. It was there the next day! As has every order I have placed. SOM is hands down the best in customer service, price, and shipping. Anyone who orders elsewhere is a fool.

Jason Moore

I don't know if you would be a fool for ordering elsewhere, but thanks Travis.
