my wife and stepson went to a flea-market awhile back to get me a set of throwers for my b-day. apparently the seller was a bit of a dick according to my stepson. he still laughs about what happened . apparently this fl. cracker didn,t think a woman would know anything about cutlery and tried to pawn a bunch of bud-k crap off on her. then according to travis (my stepson) he made the mistake of calling her 'lil' missy'. any way she didn't get me any throwers but this instead for $70. sorry about the quality of the pics still figureing out my new camera

that's a nice blade ! hamon looks tremendious!!!!!

Foolish mortal man thing calling your wife "lil Missy" he was lucky to come out of the engagement whole !! Mrs. goose wouldda, ahem, casterated the fool !

If i'm spendin the sales person had better treat me as a customer or i walk ! that's one of the few things that will put me over de edge rudeness or surlyness in sales people My wife has dragged me from a store when i've lost it, got no temper for that crap! once was passed over just cause i was only buying a "gold" ring set for me and mrs they said we shouldda been buying diamonds !!!!! went nuts !!

On the other hand when a salesmen/woman takes the extra step like when i bought a gun cabinet i make it a point to not only thank him or her but make sure a manager knows it too! i rant but i feel strongly about it. sorry.

any idea who made such a nice sword?? had any time to stripp it to see ??

By the way go now and kiss wife and tell her what good taste she has ! (dr goose relationship counsel) she picked a good one !!

Kudos to your wife Zen, nice looking blade she brought home for you. Happy Birthday!

That seller was a moron, no two ways about it.

it's a Musashi bamboo according to the certificate that came with it. i used some of the red ito that i got from Maynar to replace that black which was loose and a little dirty. that and a few little polishing flaws were all that was wrong with it. Travis said that by the time she got done punking the guy out (his words)he threw in the other kat in pic 6 just to get her to leave. the lesson here is if you try to talk down to my wife you better know a damn site more about the subject than she does, and yes she did know what she was buying.here,s some more pics of the other kat and the certificate for the Musashi. not bad for $70

Maynar according to the box the other kat is a Musha its got a nice feel though i don't know anything about that brand. it should dress up nicely though. Bobo sorry but my one and only said to tell you she only buys sharp and pointies for her one and only:celebration:. yeah Goose i used some ito that i got from Maynar awhile back and i'm trying to work-out a new way of tying the end knot, i just wanted it to look presentable while i made a new tsuka for it, i'm getting ready to do one with a full same wrap so more pics will be coming soon. it's going to have red ito as well and i'm going to use hishagami on this one
