Gentlemen;
I am not a Japanese sword enthusiast but I know many of you are. Take a look at this link; http://www.myarmoury.com/talk/viewtopic.php?t=23603 in which photos of the Victoria and Albert Museum are posted. If you scroll down the page you will see a feast for your eyes. Some impressive original Nihonto on display. Enjoy!

Good post Tora! =D>

Not just the Nihon-To but everything there is fantastic!
I love this kind of stuff, although it would be even nicer to see it in person. :ohyeah:

Thanks for posting the link Tora, the V&A Museum has a remarkable collection of all types of arms but one sword that you won't see on display is a katana attributed to the great master swordsmith Masamune, I use the term attributed because Masamune never made katana, he only made tachi and tanto so this sword has been shortened and the original signature lost but most experts agree that it is indeed a Masamune. ;)

You can but you have to buy it from the V&A and is possibly the reason why it's never on public display. http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/1745/iconrolleyes1.gif (http://img10.imageshack.us/my.php?image=iconrolleyes1.gif)
