This film covers most aspects of Budo, but has some interesting segments on Japanese swords; usage, history and even construction. There are quite a few good scenes of cutting demonstrations and regular fencing techniques shown also. Even a quick 'How-To' on making Tameshigiri mats, and what they represent; quite handy if you live where they grow rice.
This film is making the rounds on Showtime right now,it was on Showtime Extreme last night, as an example and Showtime Flix this afternoon.

BUDO: THE ART OF KILLING (PG) (1979)
This sublimely fun, cult classic documentary from producer Arthur Davis was the first look many Westerners had at Japanese martial arts practices, from karate, judo and aikido to sumo wrestling and even samurai sword fighting. Included is a wealth of revelatory material that explores historical contexts for many by-now familiar weapons and moves. :rumor:

The above link is for the next few airings, over the next few days; if you have not seen it, I feel it is worth a watch. It is well filmed, and tastefully done. :karate:
