Okay so I got a few questions about the Horseman Katana for Mr. Jason Moore or anyone who owns this katana. If your not sure of which sword it is, here's the link to it: http://www.swordsofmight.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=464

So anyway, I got just a few questions.

When will this katana be back in stock? (This is obviously more of a question that's directed towards Mr. SoM)

Is this katana sharp enough to be used for cutting tatami mats and simple targets?

Also, can this katana be fully disassembled?

In addition to that, how does this katana look overall? In the picture it does look nice, and i'm also aware that the ito is supposed to be a green ito.

Thanks for the help!

We are still awaiting this katana and have little info as to when it will be back in stock. Waiting for the manufacturer to get it back to us...

I have never cut with the katana, but it seemed sharp to me and reports on this are confirmed by some of our customers.

Never taking this one apart, (And having none in stock to try) I am not sure.

The look of this piece is very nice. Tight ito and fittings and a handsome blade.

Thanks for the reply.

Hmm... Well, i'm guessing that it won't be coming in for a while, so do you know when the Musashi Katana SS676 will be back in stock?

Musashi said about 2 weeks.

Hey, thanks for the reply! I've heard tons of people saying that this katana is well balanced and is very sharp, and so I really want to see if that's true.

Also another question. Will the Chinese Straight Sword be in stock by the time that the Musashi katana is in stock?

Oh boy, stock questions....

I will tell you, the way things are going with some of these manufacturers, I am lucky to have any stock at all! Most of what I order is never in stock and I am starting to get fed up with it. (The exclusion is Paul Chen - They usually have most items in stock) My advise for now is: If you see something is in stock and you want it, order it.

Just found this thread, I have this sword and wrote the review for it at the bottom. I was shocked at the quality. Haven't taken it apart or cut with it but have stropped it out and its one of the sharpest I have. I wouldn't use it for heavy duty cutting , but its slim profile, light weight and balance ,& bo-hi make it handle well. As a precaution I super glued the finishing knot & kashira in place so they wont come undone. This sword, the Musashi Musashi, and the Musashi Horseman are all sharp,(and sharpenable) blades in their inexpensive price range.Worth buying (I have all 3)! KK

This was one I've had my eye on for when I get around to buying a katana (semester is over in 1 week). So I too am awaiting the restocking of this blade.
