I have decided to part with my Bamboo Katana and Wakizashi from Bugei. I need to finance another piece.
Click here for Bugei's description of the basic set: http://bugei.com/product_344_detailed.htm
Mine are actually from a time when you could order them in blue as well as black. Click here for pics of this Daisho: http://www.thundereaglemaa.com/swordpics/swordpics.htm
Katana measurements:
28.5" Blade
14" tsuka
47.5" total length in the saya.
Wakizashi measurements:
18.5" Blade
6.5" tsuka
30" total length in saya
These swords are in excellent condition and I am proud to have owned them. I wouldn't part with them but for the fact that I have another piece I am looking to acquire and these are my least used swords. They have experienced some light suemonogiri and very light tameshigiri. You can see from the pics that the katana has some light abrasions on the blade from some early work with under-moistened targets. These are very slight and could probably be removed with little effort if so desired. Personally, I like the slightly used look, but that is just me.
I will be entertaining offers for the next week or so before listing it on eBay. I would rather sell it here so I will consider any reasonable offer, best offer wins, obviously. Current retail on the basic black set is $ 2,470.00. I will include a sword stand along with the original silk bags for each sword.
Purchaser to pay actual shipping and insurance in addition to purchase price.
Feel free to contact me if you have any additional questions.
NOTE: I can accept payment via Paypal, Credit Card, or Money Order and am willing to break into a couple of payments if needed. The transaction will run through my work, Oklahoma Police Supply (http://www.opstulsa.com (http://www.opstulsa.com/)).
4/22 - Wow! Not one inquiry. Is there really no interest in these kinds of swords anymore? I must admit to being stunned. If you have ANY thoughts as to why no one seems interested in these please let me know. Thanks.
Regards,
The Ivory Shogun
