Since so many of you out there engage in test cutting, I would like to reccomend the following book, "Tameshigiri, Samurai Swordsmanship & Test Cutting" by Toshishiro Obata.
Toshishiro Obata is the founder of Shinkendo, and student/disciple of Taizaburo Nakamura [founder of 'modern' tameshigiri].
The book includes chapters on: history and practice, tameshigiri rules and precautions, tameshigiri technique, and jitsuyoto [sword for actual use].
This is probably the best book you will ever find on this subject, I would give it 5 out of 5 stars.

He was the top henchman, the bald shaven head, second-in-command Japanese guy.

I can't remember his name, it takes me at least 30 minutes every morning just to remember my own. Somehow I don't think it was either of those you mentioned. He basically plays himself [no makeup or costume].
I personally always liked those movies, very entertaining, I am still amazed on how well those guys moved and fought in those Turtle costumes.
