This is a great story. It is sort of a Japanese "Lord of the Rings". It's a fantasy set in a Japan-like country that is separated into 3 parts, each ruled by a different family, one of which is the Otori. How they clash, and how the main character comes through as a hero is what the story is all about. There are 5 books in the set, 4 original and 1 "prequel". since they're all available now I'm starting out with the prequel. If you enjoy fantasy and love stories about Japan and Samurai, this is for you.
