I will be receiving my first "semi-custom" sword in 2 weeks. It's the new Castile sword from Valiant Armoury's Signature Series designed by Angus Trim and Christian Fletcher. I had to pre-order it from a dealer who already sells Valiant Armoury European Swords, so my apologies go to Jason, it was the only way I could get it. They have just arrived from the forge and I will be paying for it on Wednesday 9/17 at which time they will make the custom fitted scabbard and belt for it. I'm not a picture-taker but i'm posting a pic i downloaded from the internet of the prototype. 1075 hand forged and tempered steel, sharp edge of course. it's a reproduction of the King of Castile's sword, a picture of which is found as the frontispiece of Oakeshott's "The Archaeology Of Weapons", my sword bible.
